Volunteer Program
Take part in our high school volunteer program!
Whether you are looking to learn new skills, give back to the community or obtain your high school credit hours, Beaches Sandbox has rewarding opportunities to volunteer and give back to the community.
What Does A High School Volunteer Do?
There are many different ways you can volunteer at the Beaches Sandbox. Here are some examples:

Assist participants in programming activities, working closely with program instructors to assist with activities

Greet parents and participants that arrive for programs at the center

Help center staff during events that will be held at the center. Helping to set up and take down

Help direct participants to the correct studios to attend their classes/ workshops

Assisting program instructors to run classes.

Being a role model for children and youth coming into the center, by modeling good

behavior
Requirements
-
Trained in CPR C and First Aid. If not already trained, must be willing to be trained in CPR C and First Aid
-
Between the ages of 14-18 years old, still currently enrolled in high school
-
Carry yourself in a respectful and polite manner, acting professional and reliable

Comply with policies and procedures of the Centre

Take direction and follow instructions given by Beaches Sandbox staff
-
Be punctual, must show up to shifts on time and give plenty of notice if you are unable to make a shift
