Young builders take on weekly LEGO® challenges inspired by architecture, engineering, storytelling and problem-solving. Every session offers a new opportunity to plan, build, collaborate and bring a big idea to life.

After-School Yarn Crafters
Monday after school · Ages 8+ · $360/term
Young makers learn crochet basics, explore new stitches and work on simple projects with guidance. Beginners are welcome in this relaxed club focused on creativity, confidence and connection.
After-School Crafting Buffet
Tuesday after school · School-age children · $175/term
A changing buffet of art and craft materials gives children room to follow their imagination, try new techniques and return to projects as their skills grow. The focus is open-ended creativity, confidence and making alongside new friends.

After-School Kids’ Cooking

Young chefs work from ingredients to a finished dish while practising measuring, preparation, food safety, organization, teamwork and clean-up. Each weekly recipe builds real kitchen confidence and skills children can use at home.

Wednesday after school · Ages 8+ · Free volunteer program
Young volunteers make sandwiches for people experiencing food insecurity across East Toronto, working together from setup through clean-up. Along the way, they build kitchen confidence, practise teamwork and see how one useful hour can make a real community difference.

A welcoming club where children can learn the game, sharpen their strategy and enjoy friendly matches with other young players. Beginners and experienced players are both welcome.

Spark your child's creativity after school with an open-ended crafting experience where imagination takes the lead! Each week, a buffet of art and craft materials will be available for children to explore as they create their own unique masterpieces, try new techniques, or continue projects from previous weeks. With endless opportunities to design, build, and create, participants will develop confidence, creativity, and friendships in a fun and inspiring environment.
Cost: $175 per term
Join us every Wednesday after school from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm, at Beaches Sandbox for Club Sandwich Jr. at Beaches Sandbox! Each week, young volunteers (ages 8 and up) come together to make sandwiches for those experiencing food insecurity in our community. The sandwiches are delivered to Club Sandwich headquarters at Glen Rhodes Church, then distributed to food banks and missions across East Toronto. From setup to sandwich-making to cleanup, kids work through each step of the process. Along the way, participants gain kitchen confidence, practice teamwork, and discover the impact of giving back—all while having fun with friends.
Cost: FREE
Join us every Thursday from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm for Kids Chess Club at Beaches Sandbox, designed for children ages 5–10. Whether you're a seasoned player or just learning the basics, this club is the perfect place to build your skills, sharpen your strategy, and have fun with fellow young chess enthusiasts. All experience levels are welcome!
